open-canoeing-overview-imageCanoeing is one of our most popular activities and with Mountain Monkeys you can guarantee your canoeing will be 'splash-tastic'!

The beauty of canoeing, also known as open canoeing. Great for beginners who would like to get out on the water. We can provide basic canoe sessions either at our centre or on one the many canal networks or flat lakes provide the perfect introduction. As well as the opportunity to be in one canoe, we can also connect two boats together to offer more stanbility and team work, which is ideal for younger participants and school groups.

By the end of the session we aim to provide you with the skills necessary to control your open boat canoe. After a short warm up and some coaching in basic canoe strokes a journey across the lake or down the canal will lead to a pleasant day. Paddling skills will be coached in a fun environment, involving games as well as personal coaching.
